Life on M.A.R.S.: The Mixtape
The whole M.A.R.S. team has been working vigorously to prepare to make "Life on M.A.R.S.: The Mixtape." Myself (Mirrors) as well as Lite and Fla$h have been writing, and promoting this upcoming project. The music business has often been described as unforgiving as well as tough, and upcoming artists have no choice but to accept that hard work is not optional, but, in the midst of the chase for money and fame, music has taken a detour to a path that isn't acceptable. The hardest music comes from the lowest level of artist, because when your on your grind, your fighting to the top with nothing but what you started with, talent. M.A.R.S. is trying to re-embody the soul, sound, and love that is hip-hop music. Passion is lacking in the game now and if I never achieve the success I strive for, I hope that somewhere, someone uses me as an example of real music. The mixtape will be, try and compare, similar to Lupe Fiasco's "Enemy of the State" mixtape, consisting of cool beats, and of course an array of known instrumentals being shredded by young lyrical talent... "They promised us change, but they Simba and start lyin(lion)" -Fla$h.

Wiz or Curren$y?

For some time now there has been a shift in power in the hip-hop community, as we all see the rap game full of big names such as Jay- Z or Lil Wayne, the little people got their guns up! Underground hip-hop has shown it's true potential as people demanded that young artists grindin for their spot get what they deserve. In the midst of it all two artists stand out to the world today, Pittsburgh's own Wiz Khalifa, and New Orleans native Curren$y. For those who are fans of the two, you may understand that they share a relationship not commonly seen in hip-hop, as two great friends and musicians. This is not an article to separate the Jet$ and the Taylor Gang, but a friendly discussion of who you find better. Let me know who of these two Upcoming powerhouses you believe to be the better all around artist. - Mikey Mirrors

Myself, Mike, as well as Lite and Raj, would love to read some of your work, so if you want to show a lyrical presence or poetic voice, comment on this post with work and we will post it as an article.
